I think I should introduce myself first.
Elissa is not my real name. I wish it was, as it seems to suit me more than my real name. I've been blogging on Vox for quite a while now, and I've enjoyed it immensely. It became sort of my 'private' blog, where I could share all my secrets online, without worrying about who was reading it, as was the case with my public blog. Vox was a relatively new service then, and was still in the beta stages. A couple of months back, an acquaintance of mine found my Vox. I don't know about you, but I really didn't want people I knew reading my innermost thoughts online, plus I wasn't sure how many people she had given the link to. The result of it was all the private stuff that I used to post stopped, and I was once again blog-less, shall we say. I've still been blogging every now and then on my Vox, but I haven't been blogging as much as I used to. I finally made a decision to move my blog here. So, if you're wondering who the hell I am, hopefully this should draw some light on the matter.

Hello Elissa, and welcome to your new Vox blog.
I undestand totally where you are coming from with not wanting people to catch a glimpse into your private thoughts. My current Vox blog is my 5th blog and yet somehow, my family and friends always track me down - it's a pain! Still, at least I can save certain posts as private, which is fabulous, but you know, sometimes you just want to pour out everything and it's a shame you have to be someone else to do it.
I read your profile - you sound much like I was at your age. I still don't have many people in my life that I can call true friends, but the few I do have are very special to me. I always thought I was a bit weird for not wanting to join in with the popular bunch and yes, I got bullied a little for it, but to be who I am is so much more satisfying!
Have fun : )
